Make Sure Your Voice Counts

You have until April 28th to register as a Democrat to vote in the May 19th Oregon primary.

Oregon makes voting relatively easy — but there are a few things you need to know before May 19th.

To vote in the Democratic primary you must:

  • Be registered to vote in Oregon

  • Be registered as a Democrat

  • Do both by April 28th, 2026

That's it. No waiting period. No complicated process.

Check your registration right now: oregonvotes.gov — takes 30 seconds

Register or update your party affiliation: oregonvotes.gov — you can register online up to 21 days before the election

Just moved to Oregon? You can register immediately upon establishing residency. No waiting period.

Registered as Independent or nonaffiliated? You can change your party affiliation to Democrat, vote in the primary, and change it back afterward if you want. But you must do it by April 28th.

Already registered as a Democrat? You're all set. Make sure your address is current and watch for your ballot in the mail.
